Take a nice senic paddle down river aprox. 9 miles. The 1st 7 miles are on the Weeki Wachee River which is spring fed 72 degrees year round. The last 2 miles we will be entering the brackish waters heading out to the gulf, where the salt water marshes will be full of wildlife. There is a great chance that we will see manatees along the way during this time of year. Learn about manatees as you paddle down the river out to the gulf of Mexico. Find out what you can do to protect them and why it is so important to know about boating safety to protect this endangered species. This is an easy paddle and should be very rewarding!
